upgrade service. At Wabtec Global Services, we provide a fundamentally better COT (Clean, Oil & Test) than any other company in the business through our many years of experience, specialized tools and processes. Our services include reconditioning for ABD, ABDW type valves, DB valves, angle cocks, dirt collectors, retaining valves, vent valves, empty load valves, slack adjusters, hand brake and draft gear equipment.

Our upgrades include vibration protection to help reduce premature failures resulting from vibration as well as undesired emergency brake applications. WGS’ leakage protection & stabilization upgrade greatly reduces the potential for undesired emergencies and brake related wheel defects. Additionally, Wabtec Global Services serves as the sole authorized agent for repair, maintenance and calibration of Wabtec’s Automated Single Car Test Device. Used in accordance with the AAR’s S-486 standards, the testers provide precise measurement of brake system performance in half the time that it takes to perform the manual single car test. We offer leasing and short term rental of ASCTD units as well as the outright sale of new and used units.
